What is the difference between wool flannel and wool coating? TOP

The difference is that the wool flannel is lighter in weight, approximately 12 oz per yard and is used for rug hooking, to sew ladies skirts and for felting.

The wool coating is heavier, approximately 16to 17 oz per yard in weight and is used to make coats and for rug braiding.
